Does Meghan Markle Have a British Accent Now?

The new Duchess is suddenly speaking a little bit differently, according to a recent video.

Meghan, Duchess of Sussex (formerly Meghan Markle) was born in Los Angeles, California and had a quintessential West Coast accent — up until recently. Now, it sounds like she's starting to speak her words with a bit of a British accent.

E! posted a fan's tweet with a video of meeting Meghan, and if you listen, you can hear the beginnings of a different way of speaking. Gone are the languid syllables of a Californian and in their place are shorter sounds. While living in a different country can quickly alter one's accent, there is speculation that she is being coached into a new form of public speech.
