Dolores Catania Spills on Son Frankie's Modeling and Acting Dreams
Find out how the #RHONJ teen broke into the business.
We've gotten some glimpses of Dolores Catania's son, Frankie, during her rookie season on The Real Housewives of New Jersey, but what you may not know from those brief cameos is that the teen has some lofty goals (think taking over the fashion industry and Hollywood). Dolores recently told OMJ why Frankie made the decision to pursue a career in showbiz.
“Frankie used to play football for Don Bosco [high school]. It’s a nationally ranked school for football and he just wasn’t as big as the other players,” she shared. “He would come home with his lip hanging off and one day said he wanted to be an actor.”
Dolores was initially reluctant until Hollywood actually came calling for Frankie. “I’m like, ‘Go do your homework,'” she said. “Next thing you know he had a little small part in a movie in L.A. [called A World Away]. I moved to L.A. with him for two months, and he got his first taste of acting. He’s pursued it ever since. Now he’s at the Michael Luggio acting school in the city.”
Now, however, it seems that Dolores is more than supportive of her son's bold move. She shared what appeared to be one of his modeling photos on Thursday, tweeting, "So proud of @FrankieCatania for never giving up on his dreams!!"
Frankie has been more than willing to share more shirtless photos on his Instagram and Twitter feeds, as you can see below.
He also exposed his abs on Watch What Happens Live earlier this summer.
