Dolores Catania Will Reunite With Daughter Gabrielle, Who Rode Out Hurricane Irma in the Caribbean
The RHONJ daughter is looking forward to some calm after the storm.
Dolores Catania's daughter Gabrielle has been studying to be a veterinarian at Ross University in St. Kitts in the Caribbean, which put The Real Housewives of New Jersey family on edge this weekend as Hurricane Irma rushed through.
Fortunately, Gabrielle wasn't hurt. Dolores shared a quick video update on September 7 that showed Gabrielle sticking her chin up and enduring heavy winds.
“To Gabby’s credit, she’s a scrapper, she’s a farm girl. She rides horses, she delivers cows, that’s what she did in undergrad — Gabby is a tough chick,” Dolores shared with Page Six.
Mom, however, was admittedly a bit of a wreck.
“Then the panic set in and I didn’t sleep for two days,” she told the publication. “There’s nothing you can do, Mother Nature is going to take its course. We couldn’t get to her, so we had nothing left but to pray at that point.”
After a few days of surviving on two cans of peas, a loaf of bread and some peanut butter and jelly, Gabrielle got to finally take a shower, "which was driving her crazy," said Dolores.
It's been a lot of excitement for Gabrielle, who just recently moved to the island.
The family is set to be reunited on Tuesday.
