Here’s Where Frank and Dolores Catania Stand After the RHONJ Season 13 Reunion

Get an update on the RHONJ exes following their disagreement over their son, Frankie, no longer working for Luis “Louie” Ruelas.

By Allison Crist

Exes Dolores Catania and Frank Catania have always had a great relationship, but they found themselves in major disagreement during The Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 13 reunion when their son, Frankie Catania, was brought up. More specifically, the former couple clashed as the group discussed why Frankie no longer works for Teresa Giudice’s husband, Luis “Louie” Ruelas

How to Watch

Watch The Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 14 premiere May 5th at 8/7c on Bravo and stream next day on Peacock.

Read on for details about their tiff, as well as an update on where things stand between them today.

Dolores and Frank’s Reunion Clash

Backstage at the reunion, Frank told Joe Gorga and a few of the other Jersey men that he was upset with Louie over Frankie’s job situation. A previously unseen interaction from Season 13 then played, showing a conversation between Frank and Joe Gorga, during which Frank claimed that Louie never told Frankie (who was working for him at the time) that his business was shutting down.

Once the RHONJ men joined the ladies on the reunion stage, another side of the story presented itself. Host Andy Cohen asked Frank about the status of Frankie’s job with Louie, and when Frank started to explain that his son is “no longer with Louie,” Dolores chimed in to note, “He got another job. And that was it.”

Joe Gorga pushed back, but Dolores immediately shut down the speculation surrounding Frankie’s job and his relationship with Louie.

“Right now, I’m gonna tell you what happened,” Dolores began. “Louie gave my son a job. He was very happy working with him, and I’m very thankful for Louie. I don’t know what this rumor is, and I don’t want to talk about Frankie at all in this cesspit of anything.”

Dolores also insisted that Louie and Frankie are “very good” today.

“I’m very happy and I’m very thankful for Louie and Frankie,” Dolores added. “Thank you [Louie] for when you hired my son, and that’s it.”

Frank was in disagreement, but the intense conversation ended there.

Where Dolores and Frank Currently Stand

Ultimately, the events of the reunion haven’t appeared to affect Dolores and Frank’s relationship. On June 15, Frank responded to an Instagram comment that suggested his family could become splintered just as the relationship between Teresa and Joe Gorga has. “NEVER,” he wrote. “Our family could not be any better than it is right now.”

Referencing Dolores’ boyfriend, Paul “Paulie” Connell, as well as his own girlfriend, Brittany Mattessich, Frank added, “Everyone is close and always hanging out together including Paul and Brittany.”

Elsewhere, Frank even praised Louie for being “a caring, understanding and loving father.” However, he did note that there are still “major unresolved issues” between him and Louie.
