Fans of both Dorinda Medley and aerobics — a phenomenon known as "Dooorobics" — will sadly have to wait a little longer. The Real Housewives of New York City aerobics enthusiast and former instructor announced on Instagram on August 8 that her Dooorobics event, originally scheduled for this Saturday at Asbury Lanes in Asbury Park, New Jersey, is being postponed due to an injury she recently sustained.

"Sad news," Dorinda began in a video featuring her and friend Jon Giswold in Dooorobics shirts. "I fractured my rib last weekend, and my doctor strongly advised me to stay away from any heavy exercises for the next 4 weeks. I love doing aerobics SO much, and I can’t wait to show you how fun #Dooorobics is! We are postponing the event for this Saturday, not cancelling! Thank you [Asbury Lanes] for being supportive and understanding! Love Dorinda and [Jon Giswold]."

Dorinda didn't offer specifics about how exactly she fractured a rib, but in the video, Jon gave a possible clue, saying, "Exercising in grass did not lend itself to a good practice session."

And though she didn't say, we suspect "Dooorobics" is a hat tip to Sonja Morgan's infamous "Dooorinda" line during the RHONY ladies' Season 11 Miami trip.

While the rescheduled date is still TBD, Dorinda suggests a way to keep the Dooorobics energy going until the main event. "We're going to post our beautiful playlist so people can practice," she said, adding that people who purchased tickets can either get a refund or look out for the rain date.

Dorinda's Former Life As an Aerobics Instructor

"Everybody, I'm so sorry; I'm in super pain, but we're going to do Dooorobics. I promise you," Dorinda said.

Of course, this will be far from the first time we've seen Dorinda lead an aerobics class. See what we mean below.
