Dorit Kemsley Lets Us In on How She Lost Her Baby Weight
The #RHOBH mom shares how she got so fit after welcoming her second child last year.
Some new moms credit breastfeeding as the best way to lose the weight after having a baby. But Dorit Kemsley reveals it's something else that helped her shed those unwanted pounds after she welcomed her daughter Phoenix into the world back in February 2016. As a rookie on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, we got to meet Dorit soon after she had her daughter, and she was already looking fit and fab. She really has her now 3-year-old son, Jagger, to thank for that.
"I think the secret to getting back in shape and the weight coming off is that I had a 2-year-old to run around after and quite honestly it's just that," she explained to The Daily Dish ahead of Jagger's March 11 birthday. "When you go from one child to two children, for me anyway, it was like having 10."
Dorit had to quickly adjust to mothering her two tykes, which we can now see had some great benefits in the form of plenty of exercise. "You have to divide yourself in a way that you weren't prepared to do," she said. "So you're kind of racing back and forth between the two. It's getting the toddler accustomed to his new sibling and you just you spend a lot of time and emotion in that."
So new moms take note: Dorit's post-baby workout plan wasn't much of a plan but a happy accident. "And I just think simply running after two kids and having a newborn the weight it kind of comes off," she said.
