Dr. Heavenly Kimes Shares the "Most Difficult Thing" She's Ever Done on Married to Medicine
Dr. Heavenly Kimes also breaks down what to expect from the Married to Medicine cast in new episodes.
The ladies of Married to Medicine are back with a mix of familiar faces and some new cast members. Dr. Heavenly Kimes caught up with The Daily Dish and shared more about what makes this season and this cast unique, as well as shared an update about her daughter's college experience thus far!
Dr. Heavenly Discusses Why This Season of Married to Medicine is Different
The cosmetic dentist touched on what fans can expect from the ladies for the rest of Season 10, including from the new cast members.
“We got, you know, Dr. G back with his new wife and that’s going to be different because she’s totally the opposite of Quad,” Heavenly said. “Everything different.”
Another cast addition Heavenly highlighted was “Southern Belle” Phaedra Parks, adding: “I think she fit in well. I mean, she’s grown. She’s our age. She’s a boss. She’s a professional. She’s a doctor of jurisprudence. She’s a go-getter. She’s fun. She’s funny. She’s shady.”
Plus, Season 10 gives a glimpse at the dynamic of the ladies, Heavenly said.
“You know Toya always brings the fire,” Heavenly said. “Jackie has come out of her shell and just says whatever the hell she’s thinking.”
This season has so many different elements, Heavenly teased.
“It’s just an amazing season,” Heavenly said. “Get ready for a rollercoaster ride and I would say this is the best season yet. I know people always say that, but it’s true this time.”
Heavenly also opened up about some of the issues between the cast members.
"Quad and Toya, we need to do some fixing with that, but you know what, we're sisters, we always fall out, but we fall in together again at some point," Heavenly said.
She thinks if the pair sat down and talked it out, they could potentially get to a "better place."
Dr. Heavenly Kimes and her husband, Dr. Damon Kimes, are “officially empty-nesters”
The mother of three opened up to The Daily Dish about her daughter, Alaura, leaving for college.
“I mean, honestly, I try to have — act tough with everything, but that’s probably one of the most difficult things I’ve ever done on this show, is my daughter leaving,” Heavenly said.
Alaura picked her mother’s alma mater and is attending Florida A&M University.
Previously, Heavenly opened a beauty supply store called Heavenly Beauty.
“The beauty supply store actually started for my daughter, probably — I ain’t going to say to keep her here, but it didn’t work,” Heavenly said. “I bribed her. I tried to tell her I’d buy a house. She got a business here.”
Heavenly called her daughter’s move “bittersweet” and added she’s learning how to cope without her "best friend" while her daughter is at school.
"She's having the time of her life," Heavenly said. "I mean, I hated to see her go, but I love to see her flourish. I had to let her go, you know, and she's gonna accomplish everything in her dreams. That's my baby girl and that's probably the single, most difficult thing I've ever done in my life, letting my daughter go away from me, after knowing where she is every second of the day you know until now."
For Heavenly's November 17th birthday, Alaura will be with her on the special day, she said. Plus, Heavenly plans to relax and celebrate with the "fab five" of Married to Medicine and other friends by going to a spa together.
