UPDATE (Oct. 14, 12:38 p.m.): On October 14, Emily confirmed on Twitter she was undergoing the procedure later this month: "I’m having hip replacement surgery October 28th. I’m nervous, but beyond excited about finally being able to move pain free. The 'new' Emily can’t wait to run, jump, workout, walk a catwalk and dance!!"

How to Watch

Watch The Real Housewives of Orange County on  Peacock and the Bravo App.

The original story continues below.

Emily Simpson lived out her dream this season on The Real Housewives of Orange County when she took the stage in Las Vegas and performed in front of her friends and in-laws. While husband Shane Simpson sat out the performance as he previously said he would, he did eventually make it out to Sin City to surprise his wife. And now, Emily is giving more fans insight into that night —  including how she was dancing through the pain of her arthritis (clip above).

On Instagram, when discussing her journey to the stage, she also confirmed her plans to undergo a hip replacement surgery at some point in the future.

"Thank you to the baddest boss babe in the land... my amazing friend [Jennifer Romas] who owns, choreographs and dances in the @sexxyshowlv at the @westgatevega," Emily wrote. "Thank you for giving me the opportunity to live out a 'bucket list' wish of dancing on a real Las Vegas stage. You are truly a beautiful soul! It honestly scared the caca out of me, but that which scares us, can only make us stronger! My only wish is that I can do it again someday after my hip replacement surgery so I can actually move and not be in so much pain! Arthritis Sucks."

While she didn't elaborate any more about her struggle with arthritis or when she plans to undergo the procedure, she did share an encouraging message for anyone out there who has a dream or is struggling with their self image. "Remember my friends, Sexxy is a state of mind... not a number on a scale! So hold your heads high and never let anyone diminish your self worth!"

Stay tuned to find out what's next for Emily every Tuesday at 9/8c on RHOC. Preview, below.
