The Emmy Awards Haven't Even Started Yet and Laverne Cox Is Already Winning
The Orange Is the New Black star has another nomination, a killer look, and now, a new job prospect.
In addition to receiving a nomination for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series, Laverne Cox got a great surprise while on the red carpet at the Emmy Awards Sunday night — a job offer! The transgender activist and Orange Is the New Black star was waiting to be interviewed by E! host Giuliana Rancic, who was talking to black-ish star and Lead Actor in a Comedy Series nominee Anthony Anderson. Once they finished, Anderson escorted Cox onstage, held onto his microphone and started interviewing her in Rancic's place.

His first question: Why hasn't she ever been on black-ish?
"I've never been invited to be on black-ish!" she said.
"Laverne Cox," he replied, "I am inviting you to come play with us and be a guest star on black-ish on ABC right now!"
"I'll be there!" she exclaimed. "I just have to do this interview right now and I'll be right there, baby."
"This is your interview!" he joked.
"Welcome to my every day at work," Anderson's co-star Tracee Ellis Ross said when Rancic interviewed her a few minutes later, proving it wasn't planned beforehand. "It's a spontaneous adventure!"
