Sean Spicer's Surprise Appearance at the Emmys Makes Hollywood Lose Its Mind
You need to see how celebs reacted to the most unexpected awards show guest ever.
The Emmy Awards got off to a political start on Sunday as host Stephen Colbert included some jokes about President Donald Trump in his opening monologue. In one moment, Colbert wondered how big the audience for this year's ceremony would be, seeming to poke fun at the estimates of the audience size at the president's inauguration in January.
Then, former White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer made a surprise appearance onstage behind a lectern, of course. "This will be the largest audience to witness an Emmys period, both in person and around the world," he said.
Colbert then joked, "Melissa McCarthy, everybody, give it up," referring to the actress' portrayal of Spicer on Saturday Night Live.
McCarthy was just one celebrity in the audience who was absolutely floored by Spicer's appearance at the Emmys. Their reactions were just as amazing as the buzzy moment itself.
