Erika Girardi Explains Her Teary Moments This Season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills
"I don't think it's what people think it is," the #RHOBH songstress said.
Erika Girardi isn't holding anything back in her sophomore season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, and that means letting viewers see her more emotional side. Not only does the RHOBH Season 7 supertease (clip above) show Erika going at it with fellow Housewives like newbie Dorit Kemsley, but we also see her shed some tears.
In one emotional moment in the trailer, Erika can be heard firing back at one of her castmates saying, "You don't know what I deal with every night." Of course, fans are wondering what caused Erika to make such a statement and what she meant by it, specifically if it had anything to do with her home life or her marriage to husband, Tom Girardi.
Erika explained the moment during a recent interview with ET. “I was [surprised I cried], actually, and I was driven there out of frustration, and really just nothing else to give, you know?" she said, adding that she hates crying. "So, yeah, I was kind of shocked that I did that myself.”
We'll have to wait and see how the other RHOBH ladies reacted, but Erika said they were just as curious to know why she got so upset. "Well, we'll find out, but I think it was kind of like, 'What is wrong with homegirl? What happened to her?'" Erika explained. "Not my best moment."
The singer wouldn't give details about what inspired her sadness, but she did tease that it's probably not "what people think it is," confirming that it has nothing to do with her marriage. In fact, she and Tom just celebrated 18 years together.
All in all, Erika said that we'll get to know who she is beyond the glitz and glamour this season of RHOBH. “I think you get to know me, Erika, a little more intimately,” she said. “I mean, I'm just a regular person. There's nothing too great. I mean, I get frustrated by my mom, all the usual stuff. Very human things.”
For now, watch her alter ego, Erika Jayne, at work, below.
