Erika Girardi was going to make her Broadway dreams come true whether her husband, Tom Girardi, liked it or not.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills songstress recently told Broadway.com that "it was an immediate yes" from her when she was asked to play Roxie Hart in Chicago on Broadway. "I mean, not even with any like two seconds of thinking," she shared. "I told my husband, 'I'm sorry, I'm moving to New York. You've got to come visit. But I'm doing this role.'"

As a lifelong performer, Erika has long dreamed of appearing on the Great White Way. "I'm just excited to have this opportunity and to be there and to be onstage. I know I'm gonna cry. It's a great thing," she shared. "This is like a full circle moment. I think it is for any of us who grew up dreaming of being on Broadway or being in show biz or any of that."

Even with years of performing under her belt, Erika said that she is still nervous to make her Broadway debut on January 6. "I'm crawling out of my skin," she said. "I want to give the best Roxie that I know how and give a great, clean, fun show, inhabit the character totally, 100 percent, and have a good time."

But Erika said that she's eager to show RHOBH fans a different side of her when she finally takes the stage. "That's what I think is so cool is that people know me one way, now they get to see me another way," she shared. "I am just over the moon."

Erika previously compared prepping for her Broadway role to her experience on RHOBH during an interview with Page Six earlier this month. “You cannot rehearse ‘Housewives,’" she said. "Let me say that again. You cannot rehearse ‘Housewives’ because it’s natural and in the moment. You can rehearse Broadway and that’s what we’re doing and that’s where all the hard work comes in for Broadway.”
