What Kind of Mom is Erika Girardi? The RHOBH Newbie Reveals Her Parenting Style
The #RHOBH singer brings her fierceness to the pages of Galore magazine and opens up about her family.
No surprise here, but when Erika Girardi poses in lingerie for a photo shoot, it's, well, pretty sexy. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills singer appears in the pages of Galore magazine in some lacy undergarments, flaunting her signature Erika Jayne swagger.
In the issue, she talks about her life as a pop star, mom, and Real Housewife, revealing the one philosophy she's managed to maintain throughout her rookie run on RHOBH. “You don’t need to be a punk or lay down,” Erika said. “You have to know what to fight for and pick and choose your battles.”
She also addressed some of the misconceptions people might have about her, based on her super-glamorous appearance. “I have a lot of empathy. I think that’s the thing that people might not see, because there’s so much other stuff going on, like hair, boobs, and makeup,” Erika revealed. “Perhaps people don’t see that.”
There's also another side to Erika, who has an adult son, Tommy, from her first marriage (she married second husband Thomas Girardi in 1999). "I’m a good mom. I hate saying I’m a cool mom, because it sounds like Mean Girls, but I am a laidback mom and a very accepting one. Fortunately for me, he has great taste in women. He picks good girls," she said. "He would never bring someone home that was insane. I mean, or else we’d have to have a talk about it."
And, yes, Erika Girardi does have come advice for her pop-star alter ego, Jayne: "Relax! It’s not that serious," she said.
