Eva Marcille's Ex Kevin McCall Was Arrested
The Real Housewives of Atlanta's Eva Marcille has opened up about her experience with domestic violence.
Eva Marcille's ex, Kevin McCall, has been arrested.
McCall was taken into custody on Monday, April 15 for domestic violence, a spokesperson for the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department confirmed to PEOPLE. He was booked on one felony count of injuring a spouse or cohabitant, Page Six reported.
McCall was released on Tuesday, April 16 after posting a $75,000 bond. He is scheduled to appear in court on April 30.
Eva, who had daughter Marley Rae, now 5, with McCall during their relationship, commented on his arrest while co-hosting The Rickey Smiley Morning Show this week. "Domestic violence is very, very real. I went through domestic violence. I finally found the courage to come up and talk about it about a couple years ago about what I went through with Kevin," she shared. "I feel bad for women that have to deal with it. And it's actually not a laughable matter; it's something that actually makes you feel so little so you don't want to talk about it, but it really sucks."
Earlier this season of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, Eva opened up about placing a restraining order on McCall. "When it comes to Marley's donor, I have had to move five times, and I still feel a sense of uneasiness," she explained. "I've walked outside on my balcony before, and he's been standing in the dark, and it is the scariest feeling ever."
Eva added during the episode, "Every time I move, he finds me. Because of that, I live in multiple places. Safety is a priority for me."
Eva married attorney Michael Sterling in October 2018. The couple welcomed their first child together, son Michael Todd Sterling Jr., in April 2018.
