Exclusive: Ashley Tisdale Talks 'Miss Advised,' Future Plans and Her Big Dating Mistake
The acting star loves being behind-the-scenes for a change.
The season finale of Miss Advised is almost upon us, and the show's (very famous) executive producer Ashley Tisdale is quite proud of her little baby. The show's garnered critical praise and has otherwise been darn-good television fodder, and while fans have spent weeks watching Julia Allison, Emily Morse and Amy Laurent dish out advice and tell their tales of dating woes, what are Ashley's takes on love, work and Bravo?
Thankfully, we were able to chat with Miss Tisdale via e-mail, and she chimed in what drew her to her first foray into TV production, her dating must-haves, Housewives -- hey, it's Bravo after all -- and more. The Dish: What made you decide to go into the production side of TV?
Ashley: It gives me a chance to be really involved in the whole life of the project. I enjoy the development as well as production and producing lets me be a part of it all.
Any interest in possibly directing a movie?
Not for now. I'm loving being a producer and love the opportunities I have as an actor.
Using one word, how would you describe each of the Miss Advised ladies?
Julia = Passionate
Emily = Unexpected
Amy = Driven
What’s on you dating checklist?
Communication, Family oriented, supportive, athletic
Who is your favorite housewife and why?
So many, I can't decide... but I absolutely love the Jersey Housewives, because at the end of the day: it's all about family.
What Bravoleb would you like to be on WWHL with and why?
Probably Bethenny. I love what she's done and that she doesn't have a filter - and she's a girl you want to get drinks with.
