The FBI Raid on Donald Trump's Lawyer Michael Cohen Included a Stop at The Regency
"Nothing good happens at the Regency sweetie!," Andy Cohen noted.
Those in Donald Trump's inner circle can't seem to quit The Regency. Oh, you know the place.
On Monday, the FBI executed a search warrant and raided a room that the president's personal lawyer, Michael Cohen, was using inside the New York hotel, according to Vanity Fair.
It was one of several places, including Cohen's office and home, that the FBI visited. According to The Washington Post, Cohen is under federal investigation for possible bank fraud, wire fraud, and campaign finance violations.
“Today the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York executed a series of search warrants and seized the privileged communications between my client, Michael Cohen, and his clients,” Cohen’s attorney, Stephen Ryan, said in a statement. “I have been advised by federal prosecutors that the New York action is, in part, a referral by the Office of Special Counsel, Robert Mueller.”

As you might recall, former White House Communications Director Anthony Scaramucci has also clocked some time inside the Manhattan hotel. “He likes to be around power players. And Donald Trump is that to a certain extent. Bo Dietl is to another extent. He likes to be at the Regency, at Rao’s, wherever you can hobnob with Wall Street and New York glitterati,” Hunt & Fish co-owner Nelson Braff told Page Six last July.
The Regency was put on the radars of The Real Housewives of New York City viewers as it was the place that Tom D'Agostino kissed another woman shortly after he became engaged to Luann de Lesseps. Clip, below.
And, Andy Cohen was there to remind us of just that fact:
