Jeff Lewis Reveals “The One That Got Away” — and It’s Not Gage Edward
But it is someone familiar to Flipping Out fans.
Jeff Lewis did some major reflecting during the July 26 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.
During the episode, a member of the virtual audience asked Jeff to name “the one that got away” regarding his relationships over the years. Jeff then shocked Andy Cohen by revealing that it was Ryan Brown, his ex and former business partner, with whom he had a major falling-out in Season 3 of Flipping Out. “He was a good guy. I was a mess. I was a mess until, like, five minutes ago,” Jeff explained. “So I feel like I did screw that up. I screwed up everything.”
Andy recalled watching Jeff and Ryan’s personal and professional relationship coming to an end while sitting down with the pair for the Flipping Out Season 3 reunion. “I gotta tell you, that reunion that we did, that Flipping Out reunion where the two of you kind of broke up on camera, that was some of the realest [s--t] I’ve seen,” Andy shared. “That was really upsetting and emotional.”
However, this story does have a happy ending. Back in 2017, Jeff shared on the Juicy Scoop with Heather McDonald podcast that he and Ryan were eventually able to become friends again, even though he thought they had “irreparable damage.” “But then it’s been many, many, many years since then. And I ran into him at the gym. And then we just started talking, and then we went and had drinks,” Jeff said. “So we’re friendly again. But I’ve forgiven. I have forgiven. You know, you don’t forget, but I have certainly forgiven and moved forward.”
Jeff previously opened up about reconnecting with Ryan on WWHL in 2015, which you can check out in the above video.
During his most recent visit to the Bravo Clubhouse, Jeff also showed remorse for the way things ended with Gage Edward following their breakup in 2019 after a decade together. “I messed up the Gage thing too. I messed up everything. But you know what, I’m working, I’m in therapy now,” Jeff said before clarifying that, although we’ve seen him in therapy before on Flipping Out, he has “two therapists now.”
“But it’s OK,” Jeff added of his split with Gage. “I’m learning and moving forward and growing and all of that.”
