The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast member, who was born in Haiti and emigrated to the United States when she was 7 years old, according to her BravoTV.com bio, took to Instagram on August 14 to show her support for the Caribbean nation. "Haiti has endured so much. Political turbulence, natural disaster after natural disaster, humanitarian crisis, and today, another massive earthquake (7.2). Strength with the people of [Haiti]," Garcelle shared in a post that featured the Haitian flag, along with the words, "Praying for Haiti."

Garcelle then shared with her followers how they can help in the wake of this devastating earthquake, recommending they support Angels for Humanity in their efforts to help the children of Haiti through their Crisis Intervention Program. "My heart is breaking for my country Haiti. @AngelsForHumanityOrg is one of the biggest pieces of my heart and they need our support now more than ever," Garcelle wrote on Instagram on August 16. "If you're able, please [consider] donating to support the kids of my home. Link in bio to donate."

Bethenny Frankel, who is distributing medical supplies, food, and aid to Haiti, as well as "working on rescue, recovery and rebuild throughout September" through her B Strong initiative, applauded Garcelle's work in the relief efforts on Twitter. "Thank you so much [Garcelle] for reaching out, for getting involved in helping the victims of the tragic earthquake in Haiti [and] for supporting #bstrong." Bethenny tweeted on August 16.

Other members of the Bravo family showed their support for Haiti in the comments section of Garcelle's posts on Instagram, including Crystal Kung Minkoff, Kathy Hilton, Sutton Stracke, Dorit Kemsley, Eboni K. Williams, Asa Soltan Rahmati, and Gretchen Rossi

This earthquake comes amid political upheaval in Haiti following the assassination of President Jovenel Moïse on July 7. Garcelle previously lent her support to the people of Haiti following those events earlier this summer. "Praying for my country #HAITI. Sometimes I feel like we can never get a break!!! I hope and pray that some day soon my beautiful country will finally have the peace it deserves," she shared on Instagram on July 8. "We shall overcome, we always do. And this too shall pass. L'union fait la force [unity is strength]! I am proud Haitian we are Resilient #strength #faith."
