Gina Kirschenheiter and Travis Mullen may be going through some growing pains in their relationship on Season 18 of The Real Housewives of Orange County, but the two are now celebrating a happy occasion in their blended family: the start of a new school year.

Gina and Travis both share three children each with their respective exes, and they all went off for their first days of school on August 20.

The Long Island native posted photos and videos from the big day on her Instagram Stories. Gina first helped her daughter, Sienna, get ready for the day in her glam area. Her youngest son, Luca, soon followed, but her eldest, Nicholas, got ready on his own.

"This one's self-sufficient," Gina said as she panned to Nicholas fixing his hair in the bathroom mirror. "Handsome... First day of middle school. It's pretty big time."

Gina also shared videos of her three kids' backpacks and shoes lined up. She soon reunited with her boyfriend, Travis, who now resides in a new home.

The couple posed for various photos with their blended brood, which Gina posted on her Stories. Her ex, Matt Kirschenheiter, also joined for a few photos, though his wife, Brittany, wasn't able to be there.

"We miss you, [Brittany]," Gina captioned one of the shots.

Gina Kirschenheiter shares an update on her blended family

In July 2024, Gina caught up with BravoTV.com in New York City to discuss her decision to live apart from Travis and his three kids.

Though she said that it had become a logistical "nightmare" to have two separate households, she felt like she had made the right call for her three kids.

"We have a blended family situation, and it is extremely complicated and stressful sometimes. And I ultimately just feel like I always have to do what is in the best interests of myself and these three people [who] mean the world to me," she said. "I'm responsible for shepherding them through this lifetime and protecting them. There were just things that were starting to happen as a result of everything that he's a victim of that was outside of his control. And I get that, but I still feel like I need to protect my kids from it."

She also believes that she'll live with Travis again someday.
