Hannah Berner Shares a Candid Look at Life with Her Husband Des: “I Fear..."
The Summer House alum is taking fans inside her marriage to the comedian.
Hannah Berner is a comedy powerhouse, Summer House alum, soon-to-be author, and Paige DeSorbo's best friend — and she's also a wife.
The New York native married fellow comedian Des Bishop in the Hamptons in May 2022 (in front of Paige and Ciara Miller, among other friends) more than a year after they announced their engagement. Since then, Hannah has sporadically offered her followers a glimpse at married life on her Instagram feed.
On July 7, Hannah posted a carousel of images from the Hamptons. In one photo, Hannah can be seen sitting across from her husband at a picnic table situated out front of a food truck.
"I fear we ate (372 hot dogs)," she captioned the post.

A few days later, Des was on hand when Hannah celebrated the debut of her comedy special. The couple posed for photos together at her premiere party, though she joked that creating a playlist for the event was actually her "proudest achievement."
Hannah Berner and Des Bishop's relationship timeline
Hannah first locked eyes with her now-husband when she attended one of his comedy shows in New York City, but the two didn't actually formally meet until Des slid into Hannah's DMs in 2020.
Des noticed that both he and Hannah were quarantining in the Hamptons at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, so he reached out to ask her for a coffee date.
The pair hit it off, but Hannah soon left to film Season 5 of Summer House. When the season began, Hannah was figuring out where her relationship with ex-fling Luke Gulbranson stood. By the end of the season, Des actually went to the house to visit, and his relationship with Hannah only blossomed from there.
Things moved quickly between Hannah and Des. They moved in together in the fall of 2020, and they got engaged about six months after they made their relationship official.
Des popped the question on Valentine's Day in 2021, and the couple exchanged vows in May of the following year.
Speaking about the joys of married life during a chat with Us Weekly in 2023, Hannah said, "Overall, I think what makes our relationship fun is the laughter. And we're always trying to find, [like], 'Where's the joke? How can we take life a little less seriously?'"
"And as long as we're laughing, we're happy," she continued. "So that's my biggest advice definitely for marriage: 'Don't take it too seriously.'"
