Hannah Berner Responds to Pregnancy Speculation With a Photo

Just less than two weeks after sharing the exciting news that she is now engaged to boyfriend Des Bishop, Hannah Berner has another major announcement to share — but it’s probably not what you might expect. 

In a March 14 Instagram post, the Summer House cast member shared a photo of herself posed in a sports bra and bike shorts, cradling her tummy. “Proud to announce I’m still bloated from emotionally eating in my bed all summer!” she jokingly captioned the post.

While the comedian often posts funny captions, it doesn’t seem like this prank was necessarily out of left field. In a recent interview with ET, Hannah revealed that her friends Paige DeSorbo and Ciara Miller currently have a bet running based on when they think the newly engaged Hamptons-goer will announce a pregnancy. Her response? “I’m still on birth control.” 

Hannah also had something else to clear up: how former fling Luke Gulbranson reacted to the news of her engagement. On the March 12 episode of Comments By Celebs’ Comments by Bravo podcast, Hannah dished on something she hasn’t “told anyone.” 

“He’s blocked on my phone, so…I don’t know,” Hannah revealed when asked whether Luke congratulated her on her engagement. “Once he started making up lies about me, I was like, 'I can’t.’ He was calling me three times a day during the winter and when Summer House was airing the previous season. I hope that he’s OK, and I hope that he finds love, but I don’t trust him having communication with me. I just don’t need that in my life. It’s more of a boundary — it’s not a f--k you to him.” 

Although Hannah’s not so sure how Luke has reacted, Carl Radke was able to provide some insight when he sat down to chat with Access' Housewives Nightcap. 

“I’m happy for her! I don’t want to speak for everybody, but I think we’re all like, whoa, to each his own! As long as Hannah’s happy, that’s all we care about. At least, all I care about. I think we’re just as surprised as everybody else,” he explained. 

“We’re on a group chat with me, Kyle [Cooke], Luke, I sent it to them because I saw it yesterday. Luke’s first response was, ‘I’m happy for her,’” Carl said. “That’s all he wanted, was for Hannah to be in a good relationship with a good guy, and Des seems to be that guy.”
