Have a Skinnygirl Super Bowl

Bethenny offers recipes and tips for game day grazing.

By Shallon Lester

If your New Year's resolution was "LOSE WEIGHT" in big, bold, highlighted and bedazzled letters, don't let the Pittsburgh Steelers and Green Bay Packers wreck your resolve. Svelte star Bethenny Frankel is here to save you from overeating this Sunday, whether your Bowl preference is Super, Puppy, or "other."

The Bethenny Ever After star took to momlogic.com to offer up recipes and tricks to keep your diet on track. First and foremost, she recommends some pre-gaming: gobble down a 250-calorie snack -- something like edamame, nuts, or a whole grain pita with humus -- to keep from gorging at the buffet table.

And why spend the entire four quarters biting your knuckles and glaring daggers at the buffalo wings and guacamole? Make your own healthy versions! Bethenny also serves up low-cal options, including Game-Time Zesty Baked Chicken Wings with Blue Cheese Dip and Mock-A-Mole with Whole Grain Crackers or Tortilla Chips.

And of course, there's the alcohol. Booze is a great way to either numb the pain of your team losing or pass the time if you're only at the party to meet boys. But it can also annihilate your caloric budget and lead to hungover binge eating. Bethenny recommends sipping Skinnygirl margaritas, or cocktails made of vodka and just a splash of sweets. Limit yourself to two or three drinks, with a big glass of water between each one.

Overall remember Bethenny's mantra: taste everything, eat nothing. But you should snarf down a mozzarella stick or two, remember, cheering for your team is a great way to burn calories!

What do you think? Does Bethenny have the recipe for a guilt-free gameday? Start a Tweet Battle and make your case.
