Orange County, California is a familiar spot on television screens thanks to teen dramas like The O.C. and of course, Bravo's iconic reality show The Real Housewives Of Orange County. These shows depict a place of beachside beauty and plenty of glitz and glamour, but Orange County can have a dark side.

That's the side of the OC that's on display in The Real Murders Of Orange County, a series about the most shocking and salacious true crime cases to rock the wealthy, coastal community. Before Season 2 premieres on Oxygen on Sunday, December 3 at 7/6cwe spoke with two of Orange County's most prominent residents: Real Housewife Heather Dubrow and her husband, plastic surgeon and former host of the Oxygen series License To Kill Terry Dubrow.

"Orange County is one of those places, it really reminds me of Snapped. It's very low crime, very safe. It basically rolls up its carpets around 9 o'clock — all the restaurants and stores close. But when there is a crime, it's someone who seemed totally normal and just 'snapped' and they go off the deep end and do something unimaginable," Terry told Oxygen digital correspondent Stephanie Gomulka.

Heather agreed with that assessment, noting it can be a "sinister" place.

The thing about Orange County, it's all really beautiful. The land is beautiful, the water is beautiful, the people are beautiful. You don't expect anything sinister to happen but apparently, you scratch the surface and there is plenty of sinister," she explained.

The couple, who both say they enjoy watching true crime shows together, also talked about Season 16 of The Real Housewives Of Orange County.

"Of course, I took a few years off. I was on the show for five seasons and gone for four. ... Actually, this is the 10 year anniversary of when we started Housewives and it's so interesting, I think, to see where our family has gone and grown and how big the kids are and where we are in our lives. It's been an interesting season ... the season starts off with a bang," Heather teased.

When asked what the ultimate crime on Real Housewives is, Terry was quick to say the fashion. Heather disagreed, though, laughing "Maybe in past seasons."

Instead Heather, listed the ultimate crime someone could commit on The Real Housewives Of Orange County: "Do not break a bow off my cake!" she exclaimed.

To hear more about Heather and Terry's thoughts on true crime in the OC, the new season of The Real Housewives, and other major "Housewives" crimes, watch the video, here. And tune in to The Real Murders Of Orange County, premiering Sunday, December 3 at 7/6c on Oxygen.
