Heather Dubrow Sets the Record Straight on Katie Ginella's Paparazzi Drama
Katie also claimed she didn't have any "ill intent" when she shared the screenshot on RHOC Season 18.
The plot is thickening in the paparazzi feud between The Real Housewives of Orange County veteran Heather Dubrow and newbie Katie Ginella.
The orange holders got into a bit of a disagreement on Season 18, Episode 4 when Katie claimed that she had text message receipts proving that Heather and husband Dr. Terry Dubrow had called the paparazzi to take photos of them the year prior.
Heather denied that she ever called photographers, and she even swore on her four kids' lives. Katie, meanwhile, showed the screenshots, which appeared to show her paparazzi friend confirming that Heather had called.
But on the August 1 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Heather doubled down her denial.
Host Andy Cohen asked Heather if Katie had provided "convincing evidence" that Heather called the paparazzi in the form of a screenshot. "From some rando named Mark when I swore on the lives of my children?" Heather wondered. "Yeah, no."
When the audience was split on whether to believe Heather or Katie's story, Heather pointed out, "We've only sort of heard from the prosecution. Now we have to hear from the defense."
Katie Ginella shares her side of the paparazzi story
During a chat with Entertainment Tonight, the former golf reporter explained why she reached out to her paparazzi contact in the first place.
She shared that she had seen a TikTok video about Heather allegedly calling a photographer to stage pictures, so she reached out to her close pal, who happens to run "a paparazzi operation."
What's more, Katie explained, "I said, 'Is this true?' Like, 'Settle this for me.' I thought it was funny, because him and I have such a deep relationship — we're really good friends, we talk about a lot of celebrities that call him — so it's just banter, and he responded, 'Yes,' and then called me and was like, 'Why do you want to know this?' and I was like, 'I don't know, I thought it was funny,' 'cause we talk about this a lot."
Katie clarified that she wasn't looking to stir things up with Heather when she talked about the screenshot on the show.
"I wasn't looking for something, I didn't come in with ill intent to hurt Heather or look for information on Heather," she continued. "I'm not jealous of her. I'm not obsessed with her. I'm not coming for her. it all just happened, and it was confusing to me all these things that were domino-ing."
