Heather Dubrow Reveals Why She Gave Kelly Dodd a Second Chance
"A near-death experience can really bring people together," the #RHOC author explains.
It didn't look like Heather Dubrow and Kelly Dodd would ever be friends after they butted heads at the sushi dinner party on The Real Housewives of Orange County earlier this season. But thanks to Tamra Judge's mediation and their support of one another during the dune buggy accident, it seems like these two may have struck up a friendship after all.
It was that scary scene in Glamis that actually inspired Heather to give Kelly a second chance, she told her former co-star Jenny McCarthy during a recent interview on her SiriusXM show. "If you watch the show the other night when we got into the dune buggy accident, a near-death experience can really bring people together," Heather explained. "So at this point in the season, what I will say is I was probably of the same mind as you, and I'm giving her a restart after this accident because when you see someone with their kids, you see that part of their lives, it really humanizes someone, so I appreciated that about her, and she was very, very nice to my son."
Heather said that it's been "interesting to throw a different dynamic into the group" this season with the addition of Kelly to the RHOC cast. She also teased that we should expect that group dynamic to shift again later on this season. "What happens the rest of the season, I know everyone says this every season, but I'm telling you it's insane," Heather told Jenny. "If you think what's happened so far is insane, this is like a train that has left the station and is not stopping. And the friendships will completely shift, like, two more times."
Could the drama surrounding the dune buggy accident have something to do with that? Find out when the next episode of RHOC airs Monday at 9/8c.
