Heather Reveals Where She Stands with Tamra and Gina After Intense Season 17
The RHOC cast member admitted, "This was not an easy season for me."
Heather Dubrow admits she and Tamra Judge “have some things to work on.”
During an exclusive interview with Entertainment Tonight, The Real Housewives of Orange County mom shed more light on her fallout with her former bestie. Fans witnessed Heather and Tamra develop a close friendship throughout their time together on RHOC, and many suspected that dynamic would continue when Tamra returned for Season 17. But in the months leading up to the season premiere, several outlets reported that the two had butted heads during production and were no longer on good terms.
“It wouldn’t be inaccurate,” Heather said about the reports. “There’s a few things I’m especially dreading, yes, but there’s one trip in particular that was really, really, really difficult, and it made me question many people and many things.”
Heather will be tuning in to watch the drama unfold
Of course, the mother-of-four made sure to keep the details to a minimum, but said she was open to watching the season play out so she can determine if her actions and reactions were warranted.
“I am curious to watch it back and see if I was right, if I was misguided, if I was overly sensitive, if I took something wrong, if I put something out incorrectly,” she said. “I am willing to watch it, think about it, and be self-actualized enough to really look at it and decide how I feel after.”
Heather was "flabbergasted" by Gina's "Fancy Pants" comments
The former Hot in Cleveland star said she was also disappointed by castmate Gina Kirschenheiter and the remarks she made during the RHOC Season 17 premiere. In the June 7 episode, Gina said she was hesitant to invite Heather to certain events, because they might not be up to her "Fancy Pants" standards.
"I feel like Gina should know me better than what was portrayed," Heather said. "It flabbergasted me. I mean, the season ended last year and we were still hanging out together. I put together lunches for everyone, we all hung out together, I had Gina's parents over for dinner, which was so fun — and her dad brought me coasters, 'cause you know I am coaster-obsessed, which was really sweet — and we had seen then in New York, we'd had dinner with them, and so it was really lovely and I felt like we had all this time together... and then I never heard from her or saw her again and, in watching the first episode, I was like, hmm... maybe I have to re-think what happened there."
Heather says Season 17 left her with PTSD
Heather made her RHOC debut in 2012's Season 7 and exited the series about four years later. She told the outlet it felt “so weird coming back” in 2022 following a number of cast changes. However, she suggested that her big Season 16 return wasn’t as difficult as the events of Season 17.
“This was not an easy season for me,” she said. “I think, first of all, I was dealing with a lot in my life, in my personal life with my children… You don’t tell everyone’s stories for them, but you are still dealing with those things and so that, and two kids going to college and being involved in this group… it’s a lot.”
She continued: “I could very easily sit here and say, I had a terrible season and everyone was mean to me and it was just the worst. I mean, do I have PTSD from some things that happened? Yeah, I really do.”
