Heather Dubrow and Terry Dubrow Have a New Diet Book Coming out and, Whoa, It Involves Keto
The RHOC alums are ready to bring their lifestyle expertise to the masses yet again.
After finding mega success with the release of their book, The Dubrow Diet, in 2018, Heather Dubrow and Terry Durbow are back and ready to change lives again in a space they're more than familiar with. The Real Housewives of Orange County alums have confirmed the release of their latest tome, The Dubrow Keto Fusion Diet, set for release in 2020. Yes, that means that Dubrows are bringing their expertise to another highly-successful dieting lifestyle, the Keto Diet.
“It’s a hybrid of interval fasting and the keto diet, which allows you the benefits of both without any of the challenges of either,” Terry told PEOPLE about this new project. “You’re going in and out of ketosis. This diet, a fusion diet, is the best of both and very sustainable, with none of the challenges. You’re never starving — you’re always munching and enjoying yourself but in a very precise and physiological way that allows you to go in and out of ketosis and replenish your carbs and your fruits and vegetables.”
Previously, Terry opened up about why he believed the Keto diet was flawed in an interview with The Daily Dish. "This is a diet where you can eat the foods you like to eat. And you also get to cheat on this diet. It's not like those other diets. Keto diet is the best example," Terry said last year. "With the Keto diet, you do go into fat as fuel stage like you do with this diet, but you eat high-fat foods, low carbs, low protein — it's completely not sustainable."
Heather added at that time, "In practical terms, I don't like the Keto diet. It's not sustainable and the thing about the Keto diet is, the minute you cheat, it's over, you're out of that ketotic state and any result you had is absolutely gone. What we have done [with the Dubrow Diet] is turned this interval eating into such a good, practical way for anyone to do, and given you your favorite foods. You have to cheat. So we give you three tracks: There's a slow track, a medium track, and a fast track. We like the fast track — it's a 16-hour non-feeding period. But you still have calories during that period of time, and then you get your cheat meal, snack, or day, depending on what track you're on."
When Terry and Heather spoke to The Daily Dish previously about their penchant for taking on projects together, they hinted to the fact that this new project definitely sounds like this new book is a perfect fit for the couple.
"For us, it's all about health, wellness, and beauty. And that's really what we do together," Heather said last October when the couple stopped by Bravo HQ (video above). "That's what we do together 'cause what we want to do is let everyone know you don't have to spend a gazillion dollars to look and feel your absolute best. There's ways to do it."
