During her time on The Real Housewives of New York City, Heather Thomson shared with fans her son Jax's health struggles after he was born with the rare liver disease biliary artesia and received a liver transplant at just 6 months old.

Now Jax is getting ready to turn 16 in December, and Heather shared some good news about her son's health journey on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen: @ Home. "Well, it's a great time for an update because Jax just had a liver biopsy. It's about seven years since we've had one, and it's one of those check-in points," Heather said during her September 10 appearance. "He got 100 percent, full on, everything is great. His liver is functioning beautiful, his bile ducts are clear, he's growing."

Heather thanked host Andy Cohen for asking about her son and added that Jax is "really doing fantastic."

She then gave an update on her youngest child, daughter Ella, who is also a teenager. "And Ella is 13 going on 30," Heather said.

Heather's kids, whom she shares with husband Jonathan Schindler, are certainly looking all grown up since we last saw them on RHONY. "I can't believe how big they are. I've got teenagers," Heather said in a video for BravoTV.com earlier this year.

Heather spent the summer in the great outdoors with her family, which included surfing at the beach and Jax learning how to drive.
