Hit the Road with Bryan and Michael Voltaggio

Brothers go in search of BBQ.

By Jordan Upmalis

Want to take a BBQ road trip with Bryan and Michael Voltaggio? Williams-Sonoma is hoping you do -- they've landed the Top Chef brothers for a virtual tour of American BBQ hot spots. "Fire, Smoke & Flavor" recently launched on Williams-Sonoma's website, sending the boys on a four-day trip into the burning heart of BBQ country.

"Fire, Smoke & Flavor was a tremendous opportunity to work with Williams-Sonoma to bring authentic American BBQ, grilling and smoking into people's homes," Michael says of the trek. "Inspired by the passion, and the unique flavors and techniques of each region, we are excited to bring customers and fans BBQ recipes that they can easily re-create. No one can duplicate what the pitmasters have done, but we think people will love what we’ve come up with."

The tour kicked off in Lockhart, Texas, and winds through Kansas City, Missouri and Memphis, Tennessee before ending in Goldsboro, North Carolina. "We found inspiration from some of the best BBQ places in America," Bryan explains. "We're hoping to take some of these techniques into the backyard, get people together over summer months, and try to figure out ways that they can very easily put together a great meal."
