NeNe Leakes Shares the Story of How She and Gregg Leakes Met and It Has to be Heard to be Believed

NeNe Leakes and Gregg Leakes have quite a storied history together. Married since 1997, the couple divorced in 2010, only to reconcile and remarry in 2013, which was captured on the show I Dream of NeNe. The mom of two has also been caring for her husband as he deals with cancer, which she revealed he was diagnosed with in June. As an OG cast member, NeNe's used to sharing the details of her private life with the public, including about her relationship. But you may not have known how these two met — until now.

On Sunday's upcoming episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, NeNe shares the story of how she became Mrs. Leakes. "You and me exchanged numbers and he left me a voicemail and he was like, 'Give Big Daddy a call.' And I was like, 'Oh, hell, no!'"

She continued: "He said, 'I'ma marry you one day.' I said, 'Uh uh uh!' He did not ask me to sleep with him. Actually, I was thinking to myself, like, 'Now, what's going on?' And from that point on, I was just in the bed with no clothes on."

You may have been impressed with that, ahem, detailed story, but Kandi Burruss could have done with an abbreviated version. "Can we get to it? You met at the strip club and then y'all got married six months later. The end," she summed it up.
