How Is Teresa Giudice Adjusting to Life as a Single Mom?
Here's how the #RHONJ 'Wife is coping in the first days of hubby Joe Giudice's prison sentence.
It's been an emotional week for the Giudices as patriarch Joe Giudice began his 41-month prison sentence on Wednesday, March 23. But Teresa Giudice has reportedly put on a brave face for their four daughters as she adapts to life as a single mom. "Teresa and the girls are sad that Joe's gone, but they're doing their best to adjust," a source recently told PEOPLE.
But when you're as busy as this Real Housewives of New Jersey family, life has to move on. "Teresa's keeping busy with the girls," the insider said. "Her life centers around taking care of them and making sure they get to their activities to keep as life as normal as possible for them."
Teresa and Joe's daughters Gia, 15, Gabriella, 12, Milania, 10, and Audriana, 6, have also been helping their mom make the transition, as we saw them do with their dad during the Teresa Checks In special last year. Their kids "are pitching in a lot, which makes Teresa really happy," the source added.
The resilience of the Giudices is something family attorney James J. Leonard Jr. promised we'd see upon Joe's entrance into the Federal Correctional Institution at Fort Dix in New Jersey on Wednesday. "It was obviously a very emotional day, but this is a very strong family with a tremendous support system and they will get through this, just as they did when Teresa was away," he said in a statement to The Daily Dish.
Teresa will continue to adjust to life after serving 11 months in the Federal Correctional Institution in Danbury, Connecticut last year in the upcoming seventh season of RHONJ. Take a look at her tear-filled homecoming, below.
