How Newlyweds' Kim and Alaska Are Promoting Peace
The Season 1 stars are raising awareness about crime in America.
When Kim and Alaska Gedeon appeared on the first season of Newlyweds, the couple opened up about the ups-and-downs of their first year as a married couple. Now, they're putting their fame to good use.
Earlier this month, their company Blak Squared hosted an exclusive entertainment experience on March 12, where family, friends and fans came out to sip cocktails and take a private tour of Church Street Tavern in New York City.
They were also raising awareness for Jewelry for a Cause, one of the night's featured guests. The company, under founder Jessica Mindich, creates jewelry as a fundraising tool for a wide variety of causes. Most recently, they've initiated the Caliber Collection, where items are stamped with serial numbers seized from illegal guns in America.
Funds for the sales of the jewelry will go to promote voluntary gun buyback and amnesty programs. And Kim and Alaska were overjoyed to share with their guests the significance and importance of joining the Jewelry for a Cause movement. For more information, head here.
