During The Real Housewives of Atlanta ladies' trip to Tokyo, the women had their fortunes read at a temple. Tanya Sam's fortune was positive, as she described in the RHOA After Show above (although not everyone took it that way). It said that she was going to get married, which Tanya already knew, as she is engaged to Paul Judge. In a recent interview with The Daily Dish podcast, Tanya explained how she met her husband-to-be... and you might be surprised to learn that a certain Real Housewife of Beverly Hills was inadvertently involved in the process.
"I met Paul, I was in Los Angeles, I was on Rodeo Drive with my sister, and we were shopping in Louis Vuitton and I saw this guy and he was super cute, something about him, I just looked at him and I looked at my sister and I was like, 'I love him,'" Tanya said. "And she was like, what, who? He was like invisible to [her]; our types are so different ... and she was like, 'Well, go talk to him!' And I was really shy; I was just like, 'No, maybe he'll come talk to me.' And I was trying to wiggle my butt and bat my eyelashes, like, 'Maybe he'll notice me.'"
However, it wasn't actually Tanya or Paul who made the first move, she explained: "And my sister ended up breaking the ice and we all ended up going — because he had some friends with him in L.A. as well — for cocktails and drinks at, actually it turns out, it's Lisa Vanderpump's restaurant, Villa Blanca, for hours. And then at that time I lived in New York and he lived in Atlanta so about five days later, he came to visit me in New York and that was kind of it... And now I look it, I'm like, oh my gosh, it's what, seven years later, it was kind of love at first sight."
So, given that these two have been together so long, is Tanya planning to get married soon? As it turns out, this Atlanta friend is playing that one close to the vest: "I'm not letting those secrets out of the bag. You've gotta tune in as you get to know me more and watch the show; I think more will be revealed on that."
But as for who she thinks will get married first — Tanya, Porsha Williams, or Cynthia Bailey — she definitely has some thoughts on that. Tune in to the podcast episode above to hear her response and make sure to tune into RHOA every Sunday at 8/7c. Preview, below.
