How Wendy Williams Divided Kandi and Her Mom
The RHOA star says the talk show queen caused problems with fiance Todd Parker.
Things are about to pop off for Kandi Burruss when it comes to her plans for walking down the aisle with her beloved Todd, and sadly, it's not in a bottle-popping kind of way.
In a candid interview with ABC News Radio, Kandi opens up about the drama that's been boiling on The Real Housewives of Atlanta with her family. We caught a glimpse of the tension brewing between Kandi and her mother, Joyce Jones, on the most recent episode, where Joyce goes off on Kandi, telling her that she thinks Todd takes advantage of her.
Kandi doesn't think Joyce came up with her venomous opinion of Todd on her own—and surprisingly, Wendy Williams, of all people, is the first name that came up.
"I can tell you when it started," Burruss tells ABC News Radio of her mom's problems with her relationship. "Last year when Wendy Williams was commenting on our show every week and she was like, '[Todd's] an opportunist. I think he's an opportunist.' Next thing I know, my momma comes back and is like, 'Wendy said that he was an opportunist.'"
Clearly, her mom's lack of support is breaking Kandi's heart—and potentially wrecking the wedding to the love of her life. Do you think Wendy's to blame? Is Joyce in the wrong? Let us know in the comments.
