Imposters' Marianne Rendón Is BFFs with Lola Kirke and We Can't Handle Their Coolness
The #Imposters star teases an exciting upcoming project with her fellow starlet.
As if Marianne Rendón couldn't get any cooler, we found out a little something amazing about the Imposters star while scrolling through her Instagram feed: She's besties with Mozart in the Jungle star Lola Kirke.
The two go way back, beginning this beautiful friendship when they attended Bard College where they played in "a feminist country band" in with three other women, Marianne recently revealed to The Daily Dish. "She’s my best friend," said Marianne, who plays Jules, the former target of con artist Maddie, on Imposters. "I see her every chance I can in Los Angeles."
Marianne and Lola even shared the stage once again last spring when they played a show together in Silver Lake in L.A. last spring.
The BFFs also got the chance to work together on the big screen in the upcoming movie Gemini. "Ironically, the first film I ever got she was the [lead] in, and she had no say over the casting at all," Marianne shared. "So we thought that was really crazy that my first job was on her movie."
And yes, Marianne and Lola had the best time ever on set. "Oh, she’s just so fun," Marianne gushed about her co-star. "She’s a very inspiring woman and a leader to many people. She’s very serious about what she does, and I think we have a lot of admiration and respect for each other as actors. And I can’t wait to work with her again."
Now that Marianne has scored her own TV series like Lola, she said her pal couldn't be happier for her. "She’s really excited for me to be stepping out in the spotlight, too," Marianne said.
