Inside The Actors Studio Receives Emmy Nomination for Outstanding Informational Series or Special
This will be the 20th Emmy nomination for the show.
Inside the Actors Studio has grabbed an astonishing 20th nomination at the 69th Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Informational Series or Special, announced Thursday.
The series won the category in 2013 and competes this year with Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown, Star Talk with Neil deGrasse Tyson, Leah Remini: Scientology and the Aftermath, and Vice.
Series creator, executive producer, writer, and host James Lipton, who most recently sat down with Scarlett Johannson, told The Daily Dish via email last year that he never takes the amount of nominations for granted — to the contrary.
“As strange as it may seem, all of us who are responsible for Inside the Actors Studio are as excited about our 19th nomination as we were about our first," he said. "What a journey — for which we have our hundreds of generous and gifted guests to thank."
