We Have a Major Update on Bethenny Frankel's Former Assistant Julie Plake

Many of us have spent this time at home watching a lot of Bravo, not only keeping up with current seasons of our favorite shows but also going back into the vault for some much-needed nostalgia. We always love looking back on classic Bravo moments, especially when they feature faces we haven't seen in a while.

How to Watch

Watch The Real Housewives of New York City on Bravo Tuesdays at 9/8c and stream next day on Peacock. Catch up on the Bravo app.

That was the case with one fan's recent marathon of Bethenny Ever After. "Bethenny, do you still keep in touch with Julie? I did a Bethenny Ever After binge last week and loved seeing her," Andy Cohen read one fan's question to guest Bethenny Frankel during her September 24 appearance on the Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen: @ Home After Show (clip above).

Julie is, of course, Bethenny's former assistant, Julie Plake, who earned the title of "coordinator of chaos" as her boss' right hand in the early days of building up her Skinnygirl empire. Julie decided to leave her job with Bethenny in 2012 and move back home to Pittsburgh in order to be closer to her boyfriend and her family.

Though they may no longer be working with each other, Bethenny and Julie are still friends and keep in touch today. "Yeah, she texted me yesterday about the podcast, actually," Bethenny said of her forthcoming podcast, Just B with Bethenny Frankel during the WWHL: @ Home After Show. "I don't see her that often."

The Real Housewives of New York City alum also noted that Julie has since started a family. Julie, who now goes by Julie Plake McMinn, and husband Andrew McMinn, whom she married in 2013, are parents to daughters Josey, 5, and Alley, 2, and son Bennett, 3 months.

Julie started her own branding and consulting firm in 2015 where she works with influencers and small businesses to help build their brands, according to her website.

Bethenny previously opened up about her longtime friendship with Julie during an appearance on WWHL in 2018, sharing that they often get together whenever they find themselves in the same city. "I keep in touch with all my old assistants, and some have come back," Bethenny added. "As much of a tyrant and Miranda Priestly that people think I am, I do have a good relationship with my current and former assistants."
