'It's Always Sunny' with Top Chef's Recipe for Rum Ham!
Season 6's Eli Kirshtein creates recipe for dish inspired by FX comedy.
Dish readers, we are no longer in relaxing mode. WE ARE NOW IN SURVIVAL MODE!
Eating your drinks has never been more satisfiying with our new recipe for RUM HAM! In case you don't know what that is, you need to watch THIS.
We're such big Sunny fans, we may have sent a vaguely sketchy email to Season 6 Top cheftestant Eli Kirshtein asking if he indeed watches It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. He does. We asked if he was interested in creating a recipe for this thing called rum ham. He told us it's a real thing! After we got over that shock, we asked him to create his own version of the recipe. He happily obliged. We'd like to think this was passion project for him, as it was for us, so we present to you Eli's recipe for fairly traditional Southern-style rum ham.
You can get HAMmered here. Although it's not included in the recipe, braising your ham in the ocean overnight is optional.
So go ahead and get rips--- on ham. And don't forget to tie it to your boat.
