Jacqueline Laurita: I'm Writing Two Books

The busy mother opens up about her exciting new projects.

Jacqueline Laurita bravely shared the story of her son's autism on The Real Housewives of New Jersey, and now she's translating the experience of raising Nicholas into a new book.

How to Watch

Watch The Real Housewives of New Jersey on Peacock and the Bravo app.

Jacqueline and her husband Chris are "writing a book together about our journey with autism," she told Life & Style. "It's just been really great with my family. I feel like I'm in a very good place."

Jacqueline adds she's got more than just that project in the works. She's also penning a tome on beauty tips as well as literature for kids. "My other passion is the beauty industry, so I'm also writing a book about busy moms and beauty things," she said. "I'm also writing children's books! I enjoy writing—that's what I love."

For now, her book on autism seems to be her top priority. Back in December, Jacqueline opened up about her son's progress with the disorder—and the challenges of explaining autism to the general public.

"People that aren't going through it don't understand it," she said. "I love having the opportunity to be able to show people because honestly, what's given me strength is listening to everyone else's stories, their struggles, their successes. That's what gives us hope and strength, so if I can do that for someone else, then it feels so good to me."
