Jacqueline Laurita Insists Her Christmas Sprinkle Cookies Were NOT a Dig at Teresa Giudice
The #RHONJ mom explains why she posted a photo of cookies baked by her son.
Who could forget the great sprinkle cookie debacle that Teresa Giudice and Melissa Gorga found themselves knee-deep in several Christmases ago? As a refresher, Teresa was not pleased with the store-bought treats that her sister-in-law brought over to celebrate the holiday. Since then, they have clearly settled their beef. But when Jacqueline Laurita posted photos of her own homemade sprinkle cookies to Instagram over the holiday weekend, some people thought she was throwing shade at Teresa. Now, she's explaining her buzzy Instagram.
She explained that her son, Nicholas, baked the cookies, telling Real Mr. Housewife, “It’s been a traditional Christmas favorite cookie to make in our house for years because they are easy to make and the kids enjoy making them. When I shared Nick's work on Instagram and Snapchat, I put sprinkle cookies in quotes because Nicholas went heavy on the sprinkles.”
The Real Housewives of New Jersey mom went on to clarify, “It’s really not a bad word or meant to be used as a dig toward my cast mates." Though, she noted, "I also do realize how familiar my RHONJ fans are with the words ‘Sprinkle Cookies,’ so I knew they would get a kick out of the familiarity."
