James Kennedy on His Love for DJ Pauly D

If there's any one man who has nothing but love for DJ Pauly D and Kanye West, it's James Kennedy. The Vanderpump Rules DJ really admires the two guys for a myriad of different reasons, as he recently explained to The Daily Dish. While his career most resembles that of Pauly D, who became a household on Jersey Shore before becoming a mega-DJ act, as you probably know by now James really, really hearts Yeezy.

How to Watch

Watch Vanderpump Rules on Peacock and the Bravo app.

"F*** if I got to pick anyone [to collaborate with]? Kanye West cause he produces and raps too," he shared. "And just to sit in a studio with him would be sick. So, Kanye, if you're listening, bro, come get me in the studio, mate. I'm ready. I got some beats for you. Honestly I love [Keeping up with the] Kardashians 'cause I get to glimpse at Kanye now. I'm watching you, Kanye."

And while Kanye has had his fair share of critics over the years, James definitely isn't one of them. "I mean honestly, what is not to love about Kanye? Yeah he's said some dumb stuff before... it's just he's the most amazing producer [and the way he thinks, the way he writes, his fashion sense, the way he looks on life; I just think he's really smart and really cool," James, whose Twitter handle is White Kanye, gushed. "I remember on the red carpet when he was younger, [he said], 'I'll be Kanye West someday and that'll mean something,' and all this crazy s***. And all that happened the way he said it would. I just think that takes some sense of genius to have a plan and follow through with it takes genius."

Which brings us to Pauly D. James has a message for anyone who's hating on him. "Well it's like reality TV doesn't give you the best conception of people in general when they're trying to be a singer or a rapper or a DJ. You know like DJ Pauly D, I swear still is DJ Pauly D from Jersey Shore, but that guy is driving around in a Lambo. He's got a Vegas residency, like I'm not laughing. I'm laughing with him," he said. "Really cool guy. But it's just funny he was that guy on Jersey Shore and what a cool empire he's built for himself."
