Brittany Gives Post-Finale Update on Her “Weird” Status With Jax Taylor: “Might Be Crazy..."

The details of Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright's split came to light on the Season 1 finale of The Valley, but some fans may now be wondering where the two stand today. Are they still broken up? Back together? Planning to get divorced? Dating other people?
Brittany set the record straight on the June 5 episode of E! News. "We're definitely still separated," she began. "We said going into this that we could test the waters with other people if we wanted to, so I know that seems weird, [and] it might be crazy for a lot of people, but that's what we wanted to do."
"It's obviously hurtful to see things and have to go through this stuff so publicly," Brittany continued, seemingly referencing the chatter around Jax's multiple outings with model Paige Woolen. "But at the same time, as you see in the finale, I was pushed to this decision. I would never want to do all this or have all this going on in my life if it wasn't absolutely necessary."

In the same interview, Brittany explained that she feels justified in accusing Jax of putting on a "front" for the cameras when he pledged to go to counseling "the day before" filming on The Valley resumed. As she said on the finale, "This is what he wants everyone to see and believe, that he’s actually gonna do these things to change. I bet you money he will not do it.”
Fast-forward to Brittany's E! News appearance, during which she added, "Now a lot of time has passed yet again, and he is working on himself in different ways, but still, I knew he was not gonna go to the doctor like he said on the episode. I was right."
Where Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright Are Living After The Valley Finale
As Jax and Brittany remain separated, they're also living apart. Jax continues to stay in his and Brittany's San Fernando Valley home, while Brittany "got a place down the street," he stated on the May 31 episode of his and Brittany's When Reality Hits podcast, although he didn't clarify if this was the same Airbnb Brittany was previously staying in.
Regardless, "We're both close to our kid's school," he said of their 3-year-old son, Cruz Michael Cauchi. "And it's going to be okay."
