Gage Edward Captures Daughter Monroe's Sweet Moment with Godfather Chaz Dean
It was take your godchild to work day for the haircare mogul and the Flipping Out daughter.
Jeff Lewis and Gage Edward's daughter, Monroe, may only be nearing her 3rd birthday, but she's already following in her dads' entrepreneurial footsteps.
Gage gave a little update on his daughter on Instagram on Thursday, August 22 that showed her with her godfather Chaz Dean, the creator of WEN Hair & Body Care with whom we've seen Jeff and Gage work on Flipping Out many times over the years. "First day of work with @chazdean," Gage captioned the cute pic.
Chaz provided a little more insight into just what he and Monroe have been working on. "I had a special fragrance blending session for Fall of 2020, with my beautiful goddaughter Monroe today," Chaz shared on Instagram. "It was absolutely beautiful and special she is such an angel. I love spending quality time with her."
Flipping Out fans got to see the joy-filled moment when Jeff asked Chaz to be Monroe's godfather in the Season 10 finale of the series (clip above). Later on in the episode, Chaz joined Jeff and Gage at church as they had their little girl baptized.
Chaz may need to watch out, because Gage's hair game is on point, as made evident by his styling of Monroe's gorgeous head of hair.
Jeff and Gage have experienced some ups and downs as they navigate the world of co-parenting Monroe following their split in January of this year. However, the former couple was able to reach a temporary custody agreement after meeting in private mediation at the Los Angeles Superior Court earlier this month.
They will appear in court before a private judge on October 3 to determine a permanent agreement. Both Jeff and Gage are seeking joint legal and physical custody.
“I was very much relieved because my biggest concern was Monroe, and I feel like this works best for her,” Jeff said on his radio show after he and Gage came to this agreement earlier this month. “I want to co-parent with Gage. I’m feeling very hopeful moving forward. He’s a good dad.”
