Jeff Lewis and Gage Edward are keeping their relationship strictly professional these days. Following the news that the Flipping Out couple had split after a decade together, Jeff confirmed on his Radio Andy show Jeff Lewis Live on Tuesday, February 19 that he and Gage continue to work together amid their separation.
Gage still works at Jeff Lewis Design and “goes to our houses and he manages the sites,” Jeff said on his radio show, as reported by PEOPLE. He also shared how working with Gage has been going since they decided to break up. “We’ve been very civil. It’s been civil,” he shared. “I want to be happy, and I want him to be happy.”
Jeff and Gage's post-breakup relationship has been filled with ups and downs. The exes initially had been on good terms after Jeff announced their split on his radio show on January 31. However, Jeff said that Gage made "a big f--king misstep" after he went on a date with another man earlier this month.
Jeff then seemed to be on better terms with Gage when the two made plans to have a "platonic" dinner together, which felt like "progress" to the Flipping Out designer. Unfortunately, that dinner did not go as planned, ending with Jeff walking out of the restaurant after he said Gage started "lecturing" him.
The day after that dinner, Jeff said he told Gage over the phone: “I just want you to know I have heard everything you’ve had to say to me in the last couple of weeks, and I take 100 percent responsibility for what has gone wrong in this relationship, and I truly feel like I have failed you, I have failed my child, and I have failed my family.”
