Joe Giudice Rhonj Appeal Denied

Joe Giudice’s deportation appeal was officially denied on April 29, Page Six reports. The Real Housewives of New Jersey father has been living in his native Italy since his release from ICE custody last October.

How to Watch

Watch The Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 14 premiere May 5th at 8/7c on Bravo and stream next day on Peacock.

“We have always maintained that Joe Giudice belongs in the United States with his family, not in Italy. The immigration laws in our country are both draconian and antiquated and need to be revisited by forward-thinking members of Congress,” Joe’s attorney, James J. Leonard Jr. told Page Six, adding that he does have the ability to appeal the decision again.

Teresa Giudice spoke about Joe’s legal battle during Part 3 of the RHONJ Season 10 reunion, saying, “Me and Joe can get through anything, I hate that my kids have to go through this. This whole thing, they’re not punishing Joe and I, they’re punishing the kids. It’s not fair to them.”

At the time, Teresa did not get into the specifics of Joe’s case, but she did reveal that she felt his chances of winning the appeal were, “not a lot,” adding, “it breaks my heart.”

This is not the first time Joe has faced a denied appeal during his deportation case. After filing an appeal in November 2018, he was denied in April 2019

“We are extremely disappointed that the Board of Immigration Appeals has denied Mr. Giudice’s appeal,” James J. Leonard Jr. said in a statement to The Daily Dish in April 2019, shortly after they had filed a stay with the Third Circuit Court of Appeals. At the time, he said that they “will continue to fight to keep Mr. Giudice in the United States, the only country he knows, and reunite him with his wife and four daughters.”
