Have Teresa Giudice and Her Daughters Visited Joe in Prison Yet?
The #RHONJ husband is missing his wife and daughters "immensely," the Giudice family attorney said.
It's been a little more than two weeks since Joe Giudice began his 41-month prison sentence on March 23. That's a long time for anyone to go without seeing a loved one, but hopefully that wait will soon be over for his wife Teresa Giudice and their four daughters, Gia, Gabriella, Milania, and Audriana, who haven't seen The Real Housewives of New Jersey patriarch since he checked into the Federal Correctional Institution at Fort Dix.
"Teresa will be visiting with the girls as quickly as she is approved by the prison, which should be within the next week," the Giudice family attorney James J. Leonard Jr. recently told People, who also notes that "Teresa's approval is complicated due to the rules of her supervised release."
Teresa was released from prison on December 23, 2015 after serving 11 months following pleading guilty to multiple counts of fraud. Of course, it has been difficult for Joe to be away from his family as he serves his prison sentence for fraud. "I visited with Joe on Friday and he is doing as well as can be expected," James said. "I would say that he is adjusting very well. I know that he misses Teresa and their four daughters immensely, but Joe will get through this, just like Teresa did."
Fortunately, Joe has found a little bit of home in prison. His mother Filomena and his sister Maria were seen leaving the visiting area last Friday, according to James.
James also said that Joe met Phaedra Parks' estranged husband Apollo Nida, who was transferred to Fort Dix from FMC Lexington in Kentucky to continue his eight-year prison sentence for fraud and identity theft at the end of last year, on his first day in prison. "Joe said Apollo was an absolute gentleman and helped him get acclimated and that they had a nice talk," the lawyer said.
James also slammed rumors that Joe entered prison under the influence and that he is in a maximum security area, calling the reports "fiction." "I was with Joe all morning up until the time he was taken into custody and I can tell you with absolute certainty that he was not drunk," he said.
