This is a bittersweet time for the Giudice family. Patriarch Joe Giudice was officially released from ICE custody on Friday, October 11. However, he did not return to his home in New Jersey; rather, he was immediately flown to his native Italy where he will await a final decision in his ongoing deportation case, which you can learn more about, above.

Teresa Giudice appeared to comment on the news on Instagram on October 11. The Real Housewives of New Jersey mom shared an image of the Statue of Liberty with her hands on her face, along with four prayer hands emojis in the caption to the post.

Teresa and her family have received an outpouring of support from famous friends and fans alike on social media, including several past and present Housewives like Margaret Josephs, Dina Manzo, Gretchen Rossi, Dorinda Medley, Ashley Darby, Stephanie Hollman, and Lisa Hochstein.

Teresa, as well as her eldest daughter Gia, got the chance to speak with Joe on the plane as he headed overseas, the Giudice family attorney, James J. Leonard Jr., told TMZ following his release. "Teresa is very happy and got very emotional after speaking to Joe today. He called both her and Gia from the plane," Leonard told TMZ. "It's bittersweet, everyone is happy he is out but no one is happy he is going to Italy. He belongs with his wife and four daughters."

Joe requested and was ultimately granted permission earlier this month to leave custody and go to Italy after his request to be released from custody and await a final judgment in his deportation case with his family back in New Jersey was denied in September.

The RHONJ husband still remains hopeful that he will be able to return home to Teresa and their four daughters, Gia, 18, Gabriella, 15, Milania, 13, and Audriana, 10. “We are still fighting and it is his desire to return home to the United States to be reunited with his family," Leonard told PEOPLE on October 11.

Still, Teresa is staying strong for her daughters during this difficult time. She did some mother-daughter bonding with Audriana with pumpkin picking and hayrides on Sunday, October 13.
