Frank Catania Reveals Joe Gorga Might Officiate His and Brittany Mattessich's Wedding
The RHONJ dad was also asked about a possible Las Vegas wedding during BravoCon 2023.
Although he’s only a week into his engagement, Frank Catania is already making wedding plans.
The Real Housewives of New Jersey dad touched on his upcoming nuptials during The Jersey Guys panel at BravoCon 2023, where he was joined by Joe Gorga, John Fuda, and Bill Aydin. The discussion went down about a week after Frank proposed to Brittany Mattessich, a fellow Jerseyite he began fitness training more than a decade ago.
“We’re Engaged!!!!” Brittany wrote in an October 29 Instagram, which showed her and Frank kissing. “I’m so excited to start this next chapter with you along with all [of] the other good things we have going on… Thank you for being you [and] making me the happiest girl in the world. I wouldn’t want to do this life with anyone else other [than] [Frank]. love you so much my fiancé.”
The couple has yet to share details about their upcoming wedding; however, Frank revealed Joe might officiate the ceremony.
Joe Gorga gets ordained for a family wedding
“I may still have Joe Gorga marry us,” he told the panel moderator, Daryn Carp, who was unaware that Joe was a licensed wedding officiant.
“Father Joe. You don’t know that?” he asked. “I just married someone for the first time.”
Joe was ordained earlier this year and officiated the wedding of Melissa Gorga’s cousin Nicholas Marco and his partner, Mike Masco. He announced the move in a September 13 Instagram video in which he showed off his certificate of ministry.
“Father Joe” he captioned the post. “I’m so honored to be officiating the marriage of my cousins this week.”
Does Frank plan on getting married during BravoCon 2023?
Daryn also asked Frank if he had any “urge” to get hitched during BravoCon weekend in Las Vegas, which is known as a destination for spur-of-the-moment weddings.
“Oh my — I’m still trying to get used to just being engaged,” he told the moderator. “I got hollered at for calling [Brittany] my girlfriend and not my fiancée the other day. So it’s taking a little getting used to, but I’m happy.”
After confirming that the other Jersey men knew he was going to pop the question, Frank was asked if he got on one knee during the proposal.
“We got down on one knee —” he said, before Joe joked, “He couldn’t get back up.”
“He’s right about that, though,” Frank said.
