Joe Gorga Explains How His Nieces Reacted to His Comments on Joe Giudice
The Real Housewives of New Jersey husband also reflects on the Season 11 tension with Teresa Giudice.
Sometimes siblings don't see eye to eye on any number of issues. That also just so happens to be the case for Teresa Giudice and Joe Gorga. But for them, the entire world can see their disagreements play out.
As viewers have seen during Season 11 of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, the siblings felt some tension when it came to Joe's heated feelings about Teresa's ex, Joe Giudice, and how the former Joe wasn't afraid to share how he felt about his former brother-in-law.
Turns out, him sharing how he feels has had a bigger effect on the relationships within his family than we saw. "I'll be honest with you, they [my nieces] didn't like it [the argument with Teresa about Joe Giudice]. Between me and you, they're supporting their father, which I agree. Support your dad," Joe Gorga said on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on May 5.
He continued, "I'm a little hurt by that because I love them so much and I give them a lot of attention, and they're just listening to him. And I'm just gonna give it to them. [Those are his] daughters; that's their father. And I'm gonna take the seat back."
Joe Gorga has not been shy when it comes to criticizing his former in-law, and he further explained on WWHL why he hasn't held back when it comes to expressing his opinion about Teresa's ex-husband. "The thing with Teresa defending him is when I talk to Teresa and she tells me all the nasty things that he says to her — as a brother, she confides in me — I get very upset," he said, reiterating that that is why he gets so emotional when she "kind of defends [Joe Giudice]."
He went on to say that he also feels this way because "I'm just not happy" after everything that happened the last few years. He added, "Sorry."
