John Mayer had to undergo an emergency appendectomy in New Orleans on Tuesday (December 5), representatives said. He postponed a Tuesday concert with Dead & Company at Smoothie King Center in New Orleans. Shows on Thursday and Friday have so far remained scheduled.
Us Weekly reports that the singer has battled vocal cord issues that forced a surgical procedure in 2011.
